Carburetor replacement – Opel Kadett

Weber carburetor 32 TSP

■ Remove the air filter.

■ Pull off the fuel line and vacuum line,

■ Disconnect the throttle cable”.

■ Remove the crankcase ventilation hose.

■ Disconnect the choke control”.

■ Remove the two carburetor mounting nuts.

■ Pull the carburetor upwards, remove the old gasket on the intake manifold. Install the carburetor in the reverse order. Always fit a new gasket under the carburetor. Secure the fuel line with the clamp. After connecting the carburetor, adjust the idle speed.

Solex carburetor 35 PDSI

■ Remove the air filter housing. To do this, remove the housing cover and unscrew the screw of the fastening tape from the bottom of the housing. You have to find the screw with a mirror. Lift the housing up and disconnect the two wires from underneath.

■ Remove the supply line to the solenoid valve.

■ Disconnect the fuel and vacuum lines.

■ Disconnect the throttle cables” and "suction."”.

■ At the base of the carburetor, unscrew the fastening nuts and remove the carburetor. Use a new gasket on the intake manifold when installing the carburetor. The steps of connecting the carburetor run in the reverse order to that described. Finally, adjust the idle speed of the engine.

Pierburg 2E3 carburetor

■ Disconnect the battery mass cable.

■ Remove the air filter.

■ Pull the throttle cable out of the rubber guide”, Press out the ball joint with a screwdriver after removing the protection.

■ Loosen the choke cable outer casing clamp bolt” and remove the tie rod from the bracket.

■ Mark electrical cables to the starter and to the solenoid valve. Disconnect the wires.

■ Unscrew the cover of the starter device.

■ Disconnect the fuel lines after marking them.

■ Do the same with the vacuum lines.

■ Remove the mounting bolts from the center of the carburetor and remove the carburetor. Installing the carburetor is in the reverse order. At the end of the operation, the idle speed of the engine must be adjusted
