Shafts with a special ring structure

Shafts with a special ring structure.
Some plants, e.g. Rye, require loosened soil on top, but with a dense subsoil. This effect can be obtained by using shafts with a special ring structure. They are used right after the plowing is done, to accelerate the sowing date of rye without waiting for the natural subsidence of the soil. Spring, especially in peaty meadows and pastures, special heavy rollers are used to press the turf to the ground.
Due to these various tasks of the rolling operation, there are shafts of various designs. We therefore distinguish between smooth shafts (light and heavy), annular (smooth and toothed), crushing and plunge shafts (smooth and toothed) and string shafts. Rollers are implements pulled by a tractor or by a horse-drawn carriage. In order to better adapt to uneven ground, rollers with larger working widths are built in the form of short sections, called sections. The journals of all shafts rotate in plain bearings.
