Smooth shafts

Smooth shafts.
Light smooth rollers are used to level the surface of the soil before sowing seeds or planting potatoes or to compact green fertilizers before plowing them in. Smooth shafts are made of a round wooden beam or welded from a steel sheet. Heavy rollers made of sheet metal are additionally filled with water or sand to increase their load. For this purpose, these shafts have openings closed with covers. The cast iron sides of these shafts are riveted to the cylindrical part of the shaft. Heavy rollers are designed to work in meadows. Their diameter is up to 1,5 m.
