Design of the trailed disc harrows

Design of the trailed disc harrows.
In new disc harrow designs, the soil mixing intensity is adjusted smoothly. A special adjustment screw connected to the slider pull rod is used to change the disc setting angle. With this bolt, it is possible to operate independently on the front or rear pairs of sections. For this purpose, the bolt is connected to the respective regulating plates of these sections. The maximum working angle of the disc tilt is 30 ° [0,525 work]. A hydraulic cylinder is used in these harrows to raise and lower the transport wheels, powered from the external hydraulic system of the tractor. The actuator is operated by the operator directly from the tractor.
Harrows towed without transport wheels are dismantled and transported to the field on trailers or rolled on working discs. The working speed of the disc harrows must not exceed 1 km/h [1,9 m/s], because the discs discard the furrows too vigorously and the uneven working depth increases.
