Crushing and loosening intensity of the rotary tiller

Crushing and loosening intensity of the rotary tiller.
The intensity of crushing and loosening the soil depends on the speed of the unit moving across the field and the number of knives mounted on the disc. With a higher speed of the unit moving across the field, the billets cut by individual knives are correspondingly larger than at a lower speed (if we assume, that the rotational speed of the drum will be the same in both cases). Larger pieces are not as well crushed as smaller ones. On compact soils, the aggregate should move at a lower speed, sufficient crushing of the lumps, and the discs should have the maximum number of knives installed. On less compact soils, the speed of the aggregate's movement should be higher, so that the soil is not sprayed too much. Each disc should then be mounted after 4 knives.
