Additional plow working units

Additional plow working units.
In order to obtain better quality of plowing, the plows are equipped with additional working units, which include knife or disc coulters, pre-plows and countersinks.
Knife cut. The purpose of the cuts is to smoothly cut the furrow from the body. A smooth groove wall is then formed, which makes it much easier to guide the tractor wheels in the furrow. The knife coulter is attached to the plow frame with a yoke. This enables the desired cut setting. Knife coulters are usually used in horse plows, and in tractor plows only on stony soils, where the disc coulter cannot work.
Disc coulter. It fulfills a similar task as the knife cutting, however, it cuts through the turf much better, plowed manure or green manure. Correct positioning of the cut and the method of attachment to the frame.
Skim coulter. The shape of the skimmer resembles the plow body of smaller dimensions. However, it does not have a runner. The skim coulter is attached to the frame or plow beam. The task of the skimmer is to cut the top layer of soil with a z / s furrow width and throw it to the bottom of the furrow.
