Superstructure of service cars

The basic element of service car bodies are drawer columns with a width 1 or 1,5 module (module = 392 Mm). In the basic version, the drawers of the cabinets are equipped with slide bearings and a snap lock. On request, drawers with ball bearings are offered, it is also possible to quickly replace the slide bearings with ball bearings during the operation of the body. No elements such as locks or handles protrude beyond the outline of the walls – this is a feature worth emphasizing. Thanks to it, a mechanic working in a small space (let's remember, that he often has to find a tool or a missing part inside a small delivery vehicle), does not have to fight with the suit constantly catching on the protruding door handle or zipper.
Equipping a workshop car with cabinets is an investment, which nobody questions, but at least two things stop many service technicians from creating professional vehicles. First the prices. The solution to the problem is to choose the most advantageous commercial offer. Secondly, the mass of the building. To reduce the weight of the cabinets, elements or whole modules made of aluminum are commonly used. Moreover, everywhere there, wherever you can, perforated sheets are used (e.g. side walls of shelves). The large number of holes not only reduces the weight of the shelf, but also makes it possible to attach hangers, handles, lighting elements, etc..
Individual modules are attached to the vehicle floor with screws. This system gives you a guarantee, that during emergency braking or an accident, the cupboard filled with tools will not tear and move towards the driver. Drilled holes and ends of fastening elements are covered with a layer of bituminous anti-corrosion protection.
Tool cabinets permanently attached to the floor are the safest solution, the simplest, the cheapest and most common. But when used in a small vehicle, it can be cumbersome to use. Therefore, pull-out racks are used
From the car. It is possible to use side shelves on rails attached to the side wall of the vehicle or the so-called. bogie sectors. Movable loading platforms allow for easy adaptation to the service needs of estate cars.
The interior of the service car is equipped with various types of vices with accessories, assembly tables, tool holders, tables that facilitate the preparation of documentation, e.t.c. But even in a large delivery truck, not everything can be transported. Long pipes or ladders are placed on roof racks, with a very different structure. Several solutions are used: single handles with a crossbar and side protection, handles with a tubular tube, roof platforms or combinations of several solutions.
There, who, apart from the ladder, do not anticipate other long loads, can use a folding ladder, having 3,5 m long when unfolded, and after folding only 73 Cm. It can be disassembled on 11 different lengths.
The equipment of a service vehicle can be very rich and it is difficult to write about all the containers, handles, tables, etc.. Surely everyone will find something for themselves, and his vehicle will receive "tailor-made" equipment.
