Replace the exhaust manifold gasket

Engine 1.2

■ Remove the air filter.

■ Remove the six exhaust manifold mounting bolts. Push the manifold back and remove the gasket.

■ Insert a new gasket after cleaning the mating surfaces.

■ Screw in the collector bolts, the screws must be tightened consecutively, going in a spiral from the inside to the outside. In this way, stress formation is avoided, which may cause the manifold to rupture.

■ Install the air filter.

Motors 1.3 and 1,6 D

■ Remove the air filter

■ By loosening the three screws, remove the air intake tunnel

■ Remove the nuts securing the exhaust manifold. It is not necessary to detach the exhaust pipe from the manifold. Remove the gasket.

■ Clean the contact surfaces and insert a new gasket.

■ Screw in the fastening nuts, then tighten to the specified torque.

■ Install the air filter
