U-turn

U-turn
This maneuver is not too difficult, however, when we are in a place with heavy traffic, it can turn out to be very dangerous. Everyone has found out about it, forgotten or missed a side road turn or took the wrong intersection. It is known, that one should then turn back, i.e.. change the direction of travel yes, that after completing the maneuver, we will go in the opposite direction. But how to turn back, if we are not sure, whether there was no U-Turn sign before, and we are passing through a given town for the first time? In that case, the only option is to go ahead and make a turn at the next intersection. Don't try to force yourself without being sure. The threat to traffic safety is then too great.
The Highway Code requires special caution when making a U-turn. It is not allowed to obstruct the traffic of other vehicles traveling on the same road. If we turn back at the intersection, we should behave in the same way as when making a left turn. We have to move as close as possible to the left edge of the road, signaling your intention in advance. Please note, to perform the maneuver at once when making a U-turn, because reversing is dangerous at this point.
Where it is forbidden to turn back? This maneuver must not be performed in a tunnel, on the bridge, the viaduct and on the one-way road. Also, it is forbidden to turn back on the motorway and expressway, except for an intersection or specially designated place. It is unacceptable to drive through the green belt. Apart from the situations mentioned above, it is not allowed to turn back in places, where the maneuver is prohibited by road signs. There are five penalty points for violating the no-turn ban and an additional fine in the form of a fine.
