Replacing the gear lever

■ Put the gear lever in neutral.

■ Pulling up the gearshift cover from the rear. release it from the latches in the tunnel.

■ Remove the rubber bellows from the tunnel and roll up on the gearshift lever.

■ Remove the locking ring from the groove in the lever housing.

■ Swivel the lever to the left and remove it.

■ If necessary, unscrew the damping element with lever housing from underneath the vehicle. When pressing out the damping element, the plastic housing will be damaged, which needs to be replaced.

■ Installation of the gear lever is carried out in the reverse order to that described previously. The housing mounting bolts are tightened with torque 20 N m m. Lever selector, The ball joint and contact surfaces must be lubricated with anti-friction bearing grease.
