In every vehicle, both at rest and in motion, there is a system of forces, which must be statically and dynamically balanced. The task of the suspension is to transfer all these forces. They include, among others: vehicle weight, braking forces, transverse forces, wheel reactions to road roughness. As you can see, the suspension has many roles to play, but the most important thing is to ensure the stability of the vehicle, its manageability.

There are several types of suspension, but in each one can distinguish elastic elements (these include leaf springs, springs, torsion bars, pneumatic systems) and elements guiding and connecting the load-bearing structure to the wheels of the vehicle. The most common links are the wishbones, that is, levers that enable the wheels to be moved in different planes.

Independent car suspension – It is the most popular, suspension type used in the greatest number of vehicles. The solution is this, that each wheel can move independently of the others – hence the name.
